FCA India has finally launched the Jeep Compass Trailhawk in India at a sticker price of Rs 26.8 lakh. The Jeep Compass Trailhawk AWD SUV will be a Made-in-India product is all set to deliver across the country with immediate effect. The SUV will be offered across all the 82 FCA dealerships in India.
Exterior wise, the Trailhawk SUV gets revised front and rear bumper specifically to do off-roading, large air dams, the bonnet gets an anti-glare vinyl, water wading height has been increased to 840 mm, 3 mm thick steel skid plates underneath to protect engine, transmission, fuel lines and the urea tank, during some tough off-roading; a tow hook that can pull a vehicle with 1.5 times its gross weight. The front grille comes with blacked out 7-slot grille along with Jeep Compass as well as Trailhawk badges. It also gets better cushioning Frequency Damped Suspension with raised ground clearance for better driveability, while driving through corners. The SUV now rides on a 17-inch dual tone alloy wheel.
The Trailhawk is being offered with the following all-new equipment such as Advanced Cruise Control, Engine Start/Stop, Hill Descent Control, a built-in navigation system, Jeep Active Drive 4x4 Low, along with an addition of Rock mode to the other drive modes like the Auto, Snow, Mud and Sand.
Under the bonnet, the Jeep Compass Trailhawk SUV comes packed with a 2.0-litre turbodiesel engine that develops 170 bhp of maximum power with 350 Nm of top torque, where the best performance is delivered between 1750 – 2500 of rev band. Moreover, the engine is BS VI compliant and can also run on BS IV fuel for the remote regions where the BS VI fuel will be unavailable. The engine comes connected to a new 9-speed automatic transmission, which is tuned to provide good torque in the time of need.
