Fiat Chrysler Automobiles India conducts a private event to showcase Jeep’s lineup to its potential customers in Bangalore. The new images of the images have surfaced on Facebook. The brand showcased the lineup of the iconic Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT to the event, along with the Grand Cherokee, which are the will be the product lineup for Jeep India. As this lineup was confirmed by the official pre-launch of the India-specific website by the brand.
The flagship Grand Cherokee would rival the likes of Audi Q7, Volvo XC90, Mercedes GL and BMW X5. The top-ranging SRT will be offered in two variant packs including petrol and a diesel unit. The petrol variant is packed with a 6.4-litre HEMI V8 petrol engine that delivers a 470 PS and 630 NM of torque, while the diesel variant would be powered by a 3.0-litre V6 motor which is tuned to churn out 243 PS and 569 Nm of torque. Both themodels will be connected to a 8-speed automatic transmission. The Wrangler Unlimited will be powered with a 3.6-litre V6 Pentastar petrol engine which produces 280 PS and 359 Nm of torque and most likely it is expected to be connected to a 5-speed automatic transmission.
After so many delays, the brand will finally make its debut at the 2016 Auto Expo. Reportedly, all the three products that will be launched by the brand in India are expected to be imported into the country via the CBU route. In its first year, Jeep India is expected to sell around 2,000 units through Fiat dealerships across the country.
