Jeep has unveiled a total of seven exciting and rugged SUV concepts based on its existing models. Five of them are based on the very popular Wrangler. These concept SUVs are expected to boost people’s interest towards the fourth generation Wrangler that will be christened as the Jeep Wrangler JL. Interestingly, this model could be launched in Indian market sometime by 2020.

Jeep 4Speed

Jeep 4Speed is a significantly lightweight and faster-running Wrangler that takes inspiration from the Stitch and Pork Chop concepts. This concept gets carbon-fibre bonnet and wheel arches, while the roll-cage too comes pretty lightweight. Overall, it appears 431 kg lighter compared to the current Wrangler. Power source for this concept is a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine coupled with a 48V mild-hybrid system.

Jeep Sandstorm

Based on the Wrangler, the Jeep Sandstorm concept is a Baja desert-racer with several modifications like downsized body, smaller rear doors. The off-road-spec axles make this SUV well capable to take the rough road challenge with the help of the 39-inch sand-grip OD tyres. It is powered by a massive 6.4-litre Hemi V8 engine.

Jeep J-Wagon

Jeep J-Wagon comes based on the Wrangler Sahara. It gets raised air-intake, higher ground clearance thanks to the bigger off-road focused tyres. The customizer has kept a nice balance between the urban feel and the off-road look of this concept SUV. It dons a warm grey and orange paint scheme. Power comes from a 3.6-litre V6 engine.

Jeep Jeepster

Jeepster is a wild looking concept based on Wrangler and it dons a bright red and white paint scheme. It takes inspiration from the 1966 Speedster. It gets a 2-inch roof chop and the screen too comes modified compared to the regular model. The SUV concept comes with the spare wheel position at the back of the cabin, while the wheel carrier at the back offers modification capability to carry accessories.

Jeep Nacho

Jeep Nacho comes equipped with accessories sourced from Mopar dealers and the whole customization costs around Rs. 9.1 lakh. This two-door SUV concept comes equipped with a 2-inch lift kit, 37-inch rugged OD off-road focused tyres. Also, the 2.5-inch Fox off-road shock absorbers are there as well along with all-weather mats, Magnetti-Marelli sourced spotlight system etc.

Jeep B-Ute

Jeep B-Ute is a concept SUV based on the Renegade Trailhawk. The SUV boasts a 1.5-inch suspension. The disconnected front sway bars add zing to the car’s off-roading capability. As the customizer says, it comes with a modern military look. Wearing a complete black colour scheme, this SUV portrays practicality and ruggedness both at the same time.

Jeep Wagoneer

Jeep Wagoneer is based on the 1965 Wagoneer and this customized model comes inspired by Americana road trip style. According to the modifiers, it is based on a donor car sourced from California and the chassis has been redesigned to increase the rigidity. New suspension has been introduced. It comes powered by a 5.7-litre Hemi diesel engine that usually powers the RAM trucks.
