Kawasaki India revealed the price of its heavyweight adventure tourer - Versys 1000, today. The bike is priced at an impressive INR 10,69,000 (ex-showroom - Delhi). The bike is available in a single colour i.e. Pearl Flat Stardust White / Metallic Flat Spark Black and will be brought in India as a Completely Knocked Down (CBU) unit.

Kawasaki Versys 1000 will compete with Triumph Tiger 800 and Ducati Multistrada 950, the latter being the most affordable one out of the lot. The Japanese motorcycle manufacturer has equipped the bike with a number of rider aids like - ABS, Traction Control, Cruise Control and Cornering Management Function. It also offers adjustable windscreen, comfortable seats, high-speed stability and a head-turning road presence.
The adventure tourer is powered by an in-line Four engine that produces strong lower and mid-range torque keeping in mind the touring character of Versys 1000.
Mr. Naoki Matsumoto, Managing Director – India Kawasaki Motors Pvt. Ltd., said, “The bespoke Versys 1000 has a style of adventure model, but it is most suited for sport riding and long touring. Technically, it is a crossover from the Ninja 1000 with a purpose of thrilling performance with everyday versatility. I hope our customers explore endless possibilities with the Versys 1000.”
Kawasaki India's dealers started accepting bookings for the Versys 1000 in November 2018 and the brand will begin the deliveries from March 2019 onwards.
