Kawasaki Ninja 300 recalled in India
The front brake master cylinder is faulty
Around 1,358 units found affected
All models would be rectified free at the Kawasaki dealerships
The popular motorcycle retailer, India Kawasaki Motors has issued the recall of around 1,358 Kawasaki Ninka 300 bikes as they had an issue in the front brake’ master cylinder. The cylinder in the bikes is manufactured by Endurance. These affected bikes were made in between August 2018-March 2019. According to the company - Endurance, the lip seal over front brake master cylinder is slightly firm and it might take off while the rider uses the front brake. Due to this, the front brake becomes less effective as well as a complete brake loss that might lead to an accident.
The Kawasaki dealers are already working on reaching out to Ninja 300 owners as well as asking them to take their bikes to the nearest Kawasaki service centres so that the company would replace the master cylinder of front brake for free.
Talking of the Kawasaki Ninja 300 specs, it comes powered by a 296cc eight-valve four-stroke DOHC parallel-twin engine, producing a max power of 38 bhp@11,000 rpm and a peak torque of 27 Nm@10,000 rpm. Transmission duties are handled by a six-speed gearbox, and it receives a slipper clutch and an assist. Last year, Kawasaki increase the Ninja 300 ABS production by sourcing its components like tyres, alloys, body panels and brakes. At present, the Kawasaki Ninja 300 ABS price is INR 2.98 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
