Kawasaki has launched the much awaited 2018 Ninja 400 in India at a price tag of Rs. 4.69 lakh (ex-showroom). This bike is the latest addition to the popular Ninja series in the country. The bike has been already on sale in a couple of global markets like Japan, Australia and New Zealand and it received a pretty good response there with its sharp styling along with mind-blowing performance. Now, Indian customers too can get their hands on the bike.
Speaking of Kawasaki Ninja 400’s design, this bike looks very sharp and aggressive. It boasts sleek and sharp looking twin LED headlamps, a tall windshield, fully digital premium instrument cluster. The bike comes with a 14-litre capacity muscular and sculpted looking fuel tank flanked by the aerodynamically designed fairing. The rider seat is designed ergonomically in order to make sure a comfortable and forward-leaning riding stance for the rider. Also, it offers great control over the machine thanks to the low position.
There is a narrow tail section with well-cushioned pillion rider seat and it gets a LED taillight positioned at the tip. Built on a high-tensile steel trellis frame, this lightweight sportsbike boasts Kawasaki’s signature green and black paint scheme. It runs on 17-inch black alloy wheels and the chunky exhaust muzzle features chrome plating on it. It is capable of running at a top speed of 190 kmph. The all-new Kawasaki Ninja 400 will compete with KTM RC 390 and Yamaha YZF-R3.
Power source for the Kawasaki Ninja 400 is a 399 cc liquid-cooled, four-stroke, parallel-twin engine paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The engine is capable of churning out 48 bhp of peak power at 10,000 rpm and 38 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 rpm. Braking power is delivered by a 310 mm front petal disc brake with dual-piston and a 220 mm petal disc brake at rear with dual-piston. For suspension duty, it gets 41 mm telescopic front fork and bottom-link uni-trak adjustable shock absorber at the rear.
