Few days back we posted spy shots of the smallest member of the Z series and now Kawasaki has revealed the Z125 officially via a promotional video. From the video and pictures, Z125 does look promising as it carries the Z philosophy styling as carried by the bigger Z series motorcycles. Kawasaki has revealed not one but two variants of the same model that is Z125/Z125 Pro. The main difference between both is that Z125 deploys automatic transmission while Z125 Pro runs on a 4-speed manual transmission.
Talking about the design and looks of Z125, it sure is an eye catcher. It carries the similar Z tail lights as seen on Z800 and the extended tank shrouds adds to the visuals of Z125. With Z125, Kawasaki has competitor to take on Honda’s Grom (MSX125). Z125 uses a 125cc single cylinder, SOHC 2 Valve, Air Cooled engine with fuel injection that delivers 9.4bhp of maximum power. It is fitted with 7.4 litres of fuel tank and weighs 101 kg (wet weight). Braking duty on Z125 is performed by 200 mm single disc brake at the front and 184mm single disc brake at the rear. It is equipped with upside down front forks and single mono shock suspension at the rear.
It is highly unlikely for Kawasaki to launch the same in Indian market as a motorcycle such as Z125 will end up costing around 1-1.5 lakh rupees and Indian market as we all know is a highly price sensitive market. We have attached the video below for you to see.
