Kia Carnival is all set to hit the Indian roads in January 2020. The promotional activities for the South-Korean automaker's second offering in India have begun and the testing phase has come to an end. Recently, the MPV was spotted in flesh without any camouflage, revealing its styling and cabin layout. Being a direct rival to Toyota Innova Crysta, Kia Carnival MPV price could be in a range of Rs 25-30 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom).
The pre-bookigs for Kia Carnival have already begun at select dealerships. It is being learnt that the MPV will be offered in three seating configurations: 6-seater, 7-seater and 8-seater. Though globally, a 11-seater variant is also sold but it is unlikely to be launched in the Indian market. The spy-images show the twin captain seats in the front and mid rows. The MPV will come packed with a plethora of premium feature such as dual sunroofs, touchscreen infotainment system with UVO connectivity suite, rear seat entertainment package with 10.1-inch screen and three zone climate control etc. to name a few.
Speaking of the dimensions, Kia Carnival will measure 5115mm in length, 1985mm in width, and 1740mm in height while having a wheelbase of 3060mm. Under the hood, it will have a 2.2L 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine, albeit with BS 6 certification. It will generate a maximum power output of 199bhp and peak torque performance of 441Nm. The engine will be offered with a six-speed automatic transmission as standard. However, an eight-speed automatic gearbox is also available internationally but it won't be on offer with the India-spec MPV.
