Kia Motors has become the highest ranked mass market brand in J.D. Power’s Initial Quality Study for the fourth consecutive year. The owners of Kia models have reported fewer issues within the first 90 days of ownership compared to other non-luxury car and truck brands in USA.
Kia Sorento and Kia Rio models topped their respective segments in the study. Apart from that, Optima, Sportage and Sedona too have been proven as trustworthy models. As Kia says, ranking number one among all mass market brands for four consecutive years leaves no doubt as to the world-class quality and craftsmanship instilled in every car and SUV that Kia builds.
The automaker also says that with two segment winners and four additional models finishing in the top three of their respective segments, the evidence of Kia’s progression and focus on the ownership experience is overwhelming. The study analyzed responses from 75,712 respondents with regards to 240 vehicle models across 26 segments. Vehicles were evaluated on driving experience, engine and transmission performance and a broad range of quality issues reported by vehicle owners.
Interestingly, Kia is gearing up to launch its first product in India in 2019. The South Korean brand has already showcased a wide range of products at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo and garnered attention of the customers. Now, the first product of the brand will be launched here in the first quarter of next year.
