A new set of Kia Seltos images have emerged online right ahead of its official unveiling on June 20, 2019, revealing concrete details about its interior styling. As seen in the images, the Kia Seltos interior gets two analogue dials and a large MID. In addition, there is a large screen placed between the dials. Also can be seen is a flat-bottom squarish steering wheel with a leather covering and chic toggle switches with chrome finishing.
The modish looking centre console comes with a large floating screen, ac vents are placed right below the console, accompanied by a digital panel for climate control. There is a steering wheel with manual tilt adjust and it gets black gloss finishing too. Also seen in the images is a Bose audio system which is likely to be offered as optional on the higher trims. Earlier reports suggested, Kia Seltos could get an additional blower function with rear AC vents. A head-up display is also on cards for the upcoming Kia Seltos SUV.
Kia’s upcoming model is said to be based on Hyundai Creta derived underpinnings. As for the Kia Seltos specifications, it will get a new BS-VI 1.5-litre diesel engine with an estimated power of 115 PS and 250 Nm torque. This new unit will replace the 1.6-litre diesel engine that powers its Korean cousin, Creta. In addition to the above engine, there will be a BS-VI compliant 1.5-litre petrol powertrain.
It could also come with a 1.4-litre unit which powers many Hyundai/Kia models sold in the international markets. Kia is likely to introduce Seltos in petrol and diesel versions initially, a hybrid variant powered by the 1.5-litre petrol is expected to be introduced at a later stage. The upcoming Kia Seltos SUV will take on the likes of Nissan Kicks, Renault Captur, Hyundai Creta and Tata Harrier in the segment.
