Has segment firsts like a rear sunblind, ventilated seats, ‘UVO’ app, etc.
It will be available in seven colours and has a long features list – some of them can be seen in the styling itself, with its LED headlamps and taillamps. It also has LED fog lamps, and the DRLs have something that the company calls ‘heartbeat effect’. There are mirror-mounted LED indicators, and 18-inch alloy wheels that are termed ‘crystal cut’. On the inside, there are quite a few segment firsts as well - six airbags, vehicle stability management, ESC, and a dedicated SOS button are present in the Kia Seltos. There is a HUD for the driver, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 8-speaker Bose audio system, ventilated seats with leather upholstery, a rear sunblind, a 360-degree reverse camera system, and app-based connectivity via the ‘UVO’ app.

It displays the air quality index and has a choice of three fragrances. The rear seats have a choice of two reclining angles as well like the Honda Jazz used to offer with the magic seats.
The petrol is from Kia’s ‘Smartstream’ family, and the diesel has a VGT to offer better drivability. All engines are BS Vl compliant from day one. All three will be offered with a six-speed manual gearbox, but the 1.4-turbo-petrol offers a 7-speed dual-clutch ‘DCT’ automatic, the 1.5-litre petrol, a CVT automatic, and the 1.5-litre diesel, a 6-speed torque converter. The 1.5-litre engines generate 115bhp but the diesel generates 250Nm to the petrol’s 144Nm. The 1.4-litre turbo petrol generates 138bhp and 242Nm. Three drive and traction modes are available from a rotary dial as well.
The Kia Seltos range is broadly divided into two lines, the GT Line and the Tech Line. The GT Line is powered by only the 1.4-litre turbo petrol. It offers the crystal-cut wheels, red accents on the exteriors and red contrasting stitching on the inside. The prices for each variant are in a table below.
