The most powerful adventure bike is about to announce its arrival sometime soon. At least, this is what the guys at KTM UK say. Even though nothing has been said about the engine of this upcoming bigger brother of the 1190 Adventure, we assume that it will a detuned version of the 180bhp delivering engine that sits on the 1290 Super Duke R making it more tamable at the lower revs despite knowing it still will be more powerful than most of the motorcycle travellers can handle.

According to some spy shots, the fairing has been redesigned to accommodate the new engine, air vents are bigger and the front cowl has been designed afresh. The bike will come studded with spoke wheels for better off-road control. The spy shot also shows the bike having panniers on both the sides and we are a little unsure about their availability, but features like ABS, Motorcycle Stability Control and Traction Control are expected to come as standard. The future should hold some more information on the 1290 Super Adventure, but the thought of doing off-roading on a 180bhp sounds ridiculous to us. The spy picture shows an almost ready model, which makes KTM's plan to reveal it at the INTERMOT show to be held in Cologne, Germany on September 30 very much believable. Once it happens, we expect this mega Adventure seeker to arrive sometime by early 2015.
