Indian bikers have been eagerly waiting for the KTM 390 Adventure to set foot on Indian soil after its unveiling at the EICMA 2019 in Milan. The wait finally came to an end on December 6, 2019. KTM 390 Adventure is making its debut at the India Bike Week in Goa.
The KTM 390 Adventure design draws its inspiration from its cousin, the 790 Adventure. The adventure bike shares many aspects with the KTM 390 Duke. This dual-purpose bike gets its power from the 373.2cc one-cylinder liquid-cooled fuel-injected engine with DOHC powertrain.
The bike will be BSVI compliant with its engine delivering a power of 43hp and a torque of 37Nm. This engine pairs with a 6-speed transmission. It also comes with optimized gear ratios to enable it to deliver excellent off-road performance, as well.
The 100/90-19 front tyre and the 130/80-17 rear tyre are the highlights of this vehicle. The ground clearance of 200mm enables it to overcome any obstacle on the roads, as well as off it. The seat is at a comfortable height of 855mm. The fuel tank capacity of 14.5 liters should be ideal for Indian conditions.
The bike comes with powerful brakes, 320mm disc brakes, and 230mm drum brakes at the front and rear respectively. The dual-channel ABS is another highlight of the bike. The bike comes excellent 170mm and 177mm suspensions for front and rear end to ensure a shock-proof riding experience.
The KTM 390 Adventure price could be around Rs 3 lakhs that makes it more expensive than the KTM Duke by around Rs 30,000 to 40,000. However, it is cheaper than the BMW G 310 GS that is available at Rs 3.50 lakhs.
