If reports from our friends at Bike India are to be believed KTM has finally showed green flag to the 400 Adventure bike for India. After unleashing beasts like Duke and RC, 400 Adventure will be the next big thing KTM will be offering to the Indian market. The new 400 Adventure will be sharing the same 373.2cc single-cylinder FI, DOHC four-valve motor and will be tuned to produce more torque at low rev range.
The engine now produces 42.7 PS at 8,500 RPM, but 35.5 Nm at a more usable 6,750 RPM. Being an adventure tour specific bike, 400 Adventure will come with a massive 19L fuel tank and this fuel capacity is enough for riding long distances without taking a stop at the fuel stations. It is said that the gearing has also been altered. It will weigh around 185kgs in a dry state and close to 205kgs when fueled up. Now the front wheel is a 90/90-19, with the rear 150/60-17 making the bike adventure ready.
The 400 Adventure will be available with some awesome accessories like adjustable wind-screen, Akrapovic high exhaust and few decal options of course. The 400 Adventure might be launched around end of this year and might be offered around a price tag of INR 2.75 Lakhs.
