KTM India has come up with good news for two-wheeler enthusiasts and especially KTM lovers! KTM dealerships across India are now accepting bookings for its much-awaited all-new RC 125 motorcycle. According to KTM dealers, the new fully-faired KTM 125cc bike’s entry-level RC model is expected to carry an ex-showroom price of approx Rs 1.5 lakh. With this, the new RC 125 model price gets a hike of almost Rs 20,000 in comparison to the naked KTM 125 Duke.
In fact couple of days ago, the Austrian motorcycle manufacturer released a teaser of the new India-spec RC 125 in a stylish tone with maximum orange shade. And soon, KTM is expected to offer the RC 125 model in another new almost white colour scheme.
KTM’s fully-faired RC 125 model borrows mechanical specifications from the KTM Duke 125 naked sibling including the suspension unit and braking system. The RC 125 engine is the 124.7cc, DOHC, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder powertrain that churns 15 bhp of maximum power at 9500rpm and 12 Nm of peak torque at 8000 rpm. However, the new KTM RC 125 gets a single-channel ABS unit.
The RC 125 motorcycle is very much alike the global-spec model, but it is expected to receive few changes. The reason being that the KTM 125 test mule spotted was fitted with an underbelly exhaust unit instead of a side-exhaust unit given in the global model. Not just that, KTM’s India-bound RC 125 bike model is also expected to come equipped with other salient features such as a rear tyre hugger and a saree guard as well.
At this expected aforementioned price tag of Rs 1.5 lakh, the upcoming new RC 125 motorcycle is pitted against the likes of the Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 ABS and Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0 – both priced at Rs 1.39 lakh (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
