Bollywood actor Kunal Kemmu has been fined by Mumbai Police for riding MV Agusta Brutale on the roads of the city without a helmet or any protective gear. The actor was spotted riding the exotic bike on Mumbai roads without a helmet and the image went viral. He himself tweeted apologizing for not wearing a helmet or any gear, but that was not enough for the Mumbai Police, as they dispatched an e-challan to the star.
The particular MV Agusta Brutale belongs to Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan and the fine of Rs. 500 was paid by either one of them. Despite Kunal Kemmu apologizing for what he has done, Mumbai Police clearly stated that it was a violation of the law and the actor has to pay. The Mumbai Police also tweeted that the actor would not repeat the same mistake again.
Road safety is a big concern across India as the country experiences a large number of deaths every year due to road accidents. A large number of deaths happen due to neglecting the traffic rules. Not wearing a helmet while riding two-wheelers, not wearing the seatbelt while driving cars are only a few of them. Following such rules can save many lives indeed.
