The most powerful and expensive Ferrari ever, the LaFerrari is officially sold out now. Though the Italian masterpiece carries a hefty price tag of 1.4 million USD over it, the supercar managed to grasp interest of over 1000 proposed customers within few days of its official debut. Now, Ferrari has chosen only 499 lucky customers from the lot, to maintain the exclusivity of brand.
Marco Mattiacci, President and CEO of Ferrari North America commented, "The combination of incredible design, Italian heritage, make this car the hottest car in the world right now, this caris going to be the benchmark of the auto industry and we planned to to build just 499 LaFerrarisand sell only 120 in the U.S., but all are already sold".
He also added, "The new LaFerrari is the first step in a new strategy for Ferrari to make its brand and its cars more exclusive. This means that Ferrari will build fewer cars, but they will be even more expensive".
LaFerrari, a successor to Enzo supercar was unveiled at Geneva Motor Show in march. The supercar comes with, HY-KERS system that combines a 6.3-liter V-12 engine with two electric motors one for the driven wheels and the second drives the ancillaries. The combination delivers a whopping 963 hp which helps it to sprint 0-100 kmph in less than three seconds before hitting the top speed of 350 kmph. In this million dollar plus arena, LaFerrari competes with Volkswagen owned Bugatti.
