Ferrari LaFerrari Spider has been rumoured since 2014, just a year after unveiling and launch of its coupe. Now Ferrari is set to to build a Spider version of the Laferrari, which its fastest and most powerful supercar, confirmed by Sergio Marchionne, Chief Executive, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and newly appointed Ferrari CEO in an interview with Automobile.
During the interview, when asked about a less extreme version of the LaFerrari, named as "LaFerrarina", Marchionne said that “the only future product connected to LaFerrari is the Spider. Which is no secret since potential customers have already been approached.” The Spider is most likely to be heavier as the chassis reinforcement will offset for any loss in structural rigidity, though it will be identical to the coupe.
As of now, the company plans of the another rumoured, the Dino V6, still unclear. When asked, when we are going to see the Dino V6, Marchionne said, “We normally don’t talk about these things. But let me ask you: Where should that Dino be positioned? How much should it cost? How would it relate to the next 488? What is the right balance between too many and not enough units? We haven’t found answers to these questions yet.”
