It wouldn't be wrong to say that Lamborghini is the dream car to many across the globe. Spotting a Lambo on the road, let alone drive it, give car aficionados like us, goosebumps. And the sales figures of Lamborghini in 2014 have not only made the Italian Supercar manufacturer happy, but also, enthusiasts like us. Automobili Lamborghini sold a record 2530 cars in 2014, their best ever.
‘‘In 2014, Lamborghini delivered a very satisfying performance, confirming again the strength of our brand, product and commercial strategy,’’ said Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. ‘‘We increased sales in all our major regions’’, continued Winkelmann. ‘‘Our biggest markets are the USA and Greater China. They are followed by the Middle East, UK, Japan and Germany which each registered significant growth.”
Lamborghini is expanding fast across the globe with 130 dealers serving 48 countries. Lamborghini has divided distribution among among the three regions EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa), America and Asia Pacific. Each zone contributes to one-third of global sales. Lambo saw a growth of 19% compared to 2013, when they sold 2121 vehicles.
The newly launched the Hurracan was a super success for the Italian brand, clocking 1137 units within no time. The flagship model, Aventador managed to sell 1128 units, its best ever and the Gallardo, whose production was shut down to make way for Hurracan, sold the last left 265 units. The Hurracan collected an 3300 units strong order until the end of 2014.
The current line-up of Lamborghini in India includes the twelve cylinder model Aventador LP 700-4 in both, Coupé and Roadster version and the ten cylinder Hurracan LP 610-4.
