It was the end of last month when we heard Lamborghini saying there is going to be an Aventador Superveloce Roadster LP750-4 and already we have official images showing an example painted in a lovely Blu Galuco hue. The body of the car has been mostly carried over from its coupe sibling but instead of the fixed roof it now comes with a removable carbon top which weighs only 5.8 kg.
The attached images have been posted by automotive and fashion photographer Jordan Shiraki who says the roadster’s performances are going to mirror those of the coupe, even though the vehicle is almost 50 kg heavier compared to its fixed roof sibling. The car’s heart and soul will be the V12 6.5-liter engine producing a massive 750 bhp and 690 Nm of torque channeled to an all-wheel drive system with help from a 7-speed ISR gearbox.
Jordan Shiraki goes on to specify the Lamborghini Aventador Superveloce Roadster LP750-4 will need just 2.8 seconds to run the 0-96 kmph sprint and will top out at 355 kmph.
It should be mentioned that while the coupe is being produced in a limited series of 600 cars, the roadster is going to be even more exclusive as Lamborghini plans on making only 500 units. There is no word just yet about the price tag, but needless to say it will be considerably more expensive than the coupe, not only because it is a more desirable roadster body style but also due to its limited availability.
A public debut of the Lamborghini Aventador Superveloce (SV) Roadster LP750-4 should occur in the middle of September at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, but the Italian supercar maker is already taking orders for anxious buyers. Additional images and details should be released prior to the official presentation, so most likely we will have all the juicy info and a full image gallery by the end of August or even sooner.
