Lamborghini Huracan Evo Spyder launched at Rs 4.1 crore.
Has an electrically operated soft top.
It is powered by the same engine as the Huracan Evo coupe.
5.2-litre V10 engine generates 640bhp and 600Nm.
0-100kph time is 3.1 seconds.
Lamborghini has launched the Huracan Evo Spyder and it is priced at Rs 4.1 crore, ex-showroom, pan-India. The Huracan Evo Spyder is the convertible version of the Huracan Evo and costs Rs 37 lakh more than the coupe.
The Huracan Evo Spyder has an electrically operated soft top that takes 17 seconds to go from closed to open, and this can be done at speeds of up to 50 kph. In addition, there are pop-up rollover bars that deploy in case of a rollover, and the rear glass can be retracted irrespective of whether the roof is up or not, to let the sound of that massive engine into the cabin.
The rear deck and engine cover have been redesigned to accommodate the retracting mechanism of the roof. The additions have raised the weight of the Huracan Evo Spyder by 120kg over the coupe, but it still makes it to 100kph from a standstill in 3.1 seconds. That’s an extra 0.2 seconds over the coupe. However, top speed is the same, at 323kph.
The Huracan Evo Spyder has the same 5.2 liters naturally aspirated V10 as the coupe, and generates the same power and torque, at 640bhp and 600Nm. Power is fed to all wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
To help it use that incredible power figure effectively, it employs the Lamborghini Diamica Veicolo Integrata chassis control system, along with rear-wheel steering and torque vectoring.
As always, there’s a really long options list, should you feel the need to pimp out your convertible Lambo. The Lamborghini Huracan Evo Spyder competes with the Ferrari 488 Spider and the Audi R8 Spyder in the Indian market.
