With the launch of the Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2 in November 2015, the Brand is set to launch its convertible supercar the “Lamborghini Huracan Spyder” in the Indian market. The teaser of Huracan Spyder LP 610-4 was posted on the official Facebook page of Lamborghini Delhi, hinting over a forthcoming launch, which can be priced over Rs 3 crore.
Added to its name “Spyder”, which surely means this supercar is convertible and features a lightweight soft roof, which can be deployed in hardly 18 seconds at a speed below 50 kmph. With the roof open, the roaring sound of the naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 engine is more audible to the occupants. And this naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 engine will deliver an incredible power of 610 PS and 560 Nm of torque. The engine is mated with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission that transfers power to all the four wheels.
The Huracan Spyder LP 610-4 features ANIMA (Adaptive Network Intelligent Management) with three drive settings - – Strada, Sport and Corsa. Underpinned by hybrid aluminium-carbon structure which will maintain high torsional rigidity regardless to open roof. The Spyder will bolt 0-100 kmph in just 3.2-seconds and can hit a mark of 200 kmph in mere 10.2 seconds, with a top punch at an impressive 324 kmph.
With back to back new product launch by the Lamborghini, and Ferrari India’s showroom openings, it indicates that the supercar makers have started to believe, that India is a promising market for such brands.
