The latest version of Lamborghini’s well renowned car the Gallardo, now has one more variant under its name the LP570-4 Squadra Corse. Just like any other Lamborghini, the name of the car will give you a hint on the specs, like the new Squadra Corse is a 562.2 BHP or 570 HP, with four-wheel drive and even though the car is a road version, it is track-focused built. Hence it got the Codename LP570-4.
The name Squadra Corse was born from the brand’s freshly shaped racing division, and encouragement for its styling and performance qualifications, that is a derivative of the Lamborghini event called the Super Trofeo. The delighting news is that the car is street legal. The Squadra is powered by the same 5.2 liter V10 block present in the stock versions, that has the maximum output of 562 BHP, that is distributed at 8000 RPM and 540 NM of Torque, this block is married to a 6 speed robotized paddle shifting gearbox. This helps the supercar to hit the 100 Kmph in a mere 3.4 seconds, with a blistering top speed of 321 Kmph. Thanks to the carbon ceramic brakes it stops in a jiffy. The 4 wheel drive technology, and a few technical features are borrowed from the LP 570-4 Superleggera, the Squadra Corse’s cousin.
The Squadra is completely built using aluminum and carbon fiber, this resulted in significant weight loss, which now puts the car 70 kilos less than the standard LP 560-4. So now the car’s dry weight is approximately 1340 kilograms. Not only that the carbon fiber wing or spoiler used in the Corse is straight out of the race versions of the Lamborghini, this new wing generates 3 times more down-force than the stock LP 560-4, similar to that the bonnet of the car also made of carbon fiber, has the easy release preference consequential of the race cars.
The outside of the car, has been refreshed by a little bit, with no loss of aggressiveness. It now has gloss black forged 19 inch wheels, gloss black rear diffuser and red colored brake calipers. It is available in 4 stock colors, Grey/Grigio Thalasso, Yellow/Giallo Midas, White/Bianco Monocerus and Red/Rosso Mars. It will feature things to see from the Italian racing blood, like the green, white and red stripes along the borders. The complete interior is subjugated by carbon fiber, like the hand-brake frame, seats and center console with all-embracing utilization of Alcantara.
From now onwards the Squadra Corse sector will administer all the racing activities, right from the GT3 to the Blancpain Super Trofeo Championships conducted by Lamborghini.
