Land Rover recently revealed a few teaser images of the next-generation Discovery family, which will make its global debut at the upcoming New York Motor Show on 16th April. Described as “premium leisure SUVs”, the company has said that the new Discovery line-up will be “built on Land Rover’s key principles of emotive design, unrivalled capability and ultimate versatility, taken to new levels using customer-focused advanced technologies.”

However, the British giant has not revealed whether the new model will be on-sale alongside the current Discovery but the new series will be distinctive to the present model with an modernistic approach in them. Its expected that company will showcase a few new models along with a new concept on the upcoming New York Auto Show. Land Rover introduced the Discovery in 1989, which is currently in its 4th generation, known as the LR4 in Europe.

Being a teaser, the images only have outlines of the new design revealing sharp and more expressive language as compared to the current model. Sharp straight body-lines, amore upright stance and an exquisitely crafted cabin are few characteristics of the new family which will be combined with the incomparable hard-core SUV gene of the Land Rover. The new Vision Concept is likely to feature a seven-seater layout with few never-seen-before features inside. The first replacement models that will be rolling out would be the Freelander replacements, followed by the rest of the model line-up.
