The Italian raging bull, a name that the manufacturer, Lamborghini from northern Italy gained because of their Herculean models from the great city. Lamborghini Gallardo, which earned the name for Lamborghini in the days when it was launched lived the last days of its life and the last production model came out on November 25, 2013. The last Gallardo model coming out of the Lamborghini stable is painted in Rosso Mars color and carries the name of LP570-4 Spyder Performante.
The Gallardo shaped-up way back in 2003 and it was the first Lamborghini model which was developed and designed under Audi’s expertise. The VW group added the Lamborghini under its watch at a time when the Italian company was facing trouble and was working to find ways to introduce Murceilago in 1998, after which the supercar was finally launched in 2001.
Volkswagen Group kept the Lamborghini soul alive which is why the brand is known more for its super-potent cars. Volkswagen group made it possible for Lamborghini to endorse the brutal capabilities of Lamborghini and at the same time, increasing its capacity of production. The overall outcome of the pact was commendable as Lamborghini sold 14,022 Gallardos for the years of its existence, which almost half of number of 30,000 cars sold since Ferruccio incepted the company in 1963.
Gallardo with the badge of most-selling Lamborghini ever created a brand and a sense of honor for Lamborghini. In 2008, Lamborghini did a major revamp to the Gallardo brand. In 2012, the Lamborghini Gallardo received minor changes to keep the car fresh for the market. The brutish looking Lamborghini Gallardo also has the longest list of special editions. In all, the Lamborghini Gallardo features as many as 32 special editions, which were introduced to the world.
The successful Gallardo will have a successor christened as Cabrera which will be officially face the world in 2014.
Lamborghini Gallardo’s long and aggressive existence in the world finally came to an end on 25th November. The car which carried the legacy of Lamborghini forward became the most successful Lamborghini ever. Lamborghini will keep its wild and raging spirit alive with the Cabrera, which is scheduled to launch somewhere in next year
