The spy image, here shows Lexus RC-F that was spotted in Chennai. Going by the image, it also appears that the car is getting down off the loader on a service road that leads to leads to the Madras Motor Sports Club’s (MMSC) track in Irungattukottai, Sriperumbudur. Most likely, the RC-F here is a customer owned vehicle that has been privately imported.
Though, Lexus is expected to commence its Indian operations by next year only and the RC-F is not one of those initial models that will make its way to Indian shore. In UK, the price of the Lexus RC-F starts from £ 60,495 (Rs 51.24 lakh as per todays conversion) and compete with the likes of Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe, BMW M4, Audi RS5 and obviously not to forget the recently launch Ford Mustang 5.0 GT. Optionally, you can also think about the Carbon package shelling out extra £ 8,000 (Rs 6.78 as per todays conversion).
Interesting part comes under the skin, this Lexus is power packed with a naturally aspirated 5.0-litre V8 engine that’s good to churn out 471 hp @ 6,400 rpm and 530 Nm of top spin between 4,800 - 5,600 rpm with refined 95 octane or higher grade of fuel type. The power unit is connected to an 8-speed automatic gearbox with torque converter, delivering the power to the rear axle. Lexus claims that its coupe can bolt to 100 kmph in just 4.5 sec before hitting a top mark of 270 kmph.
Interms of features, the RC-F just got bunch of it and includes ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), BAS (Brake Assist System), TRC (Traction Control), EBD (Electronic Brake force Distribution), VSC (Vehicle Stability Control), Vehicle Dynamic Management, HAC (Hill-start Assist Control), EPS (Electric Power Steering), speed sensitive, Brembo brakes, ASC (Active Sound Control), all as standard features.
