Lamborghini will soon deliver India's first Aventador SVJ to a customer in Bangaluru. The company is now planning to expand the SVJ line by launching the limited-edition SVJ 63 in the Indian market in 2019.
Speaking to Autocar India, Sharad Agarwal, head of Lamborghini India said, “We delivered India's first Aventador SVJ on December 17, and it’s not just the first in India, it is among the first few in the world. 2019 is going to be a very exciting year for us. We will start the year with the unveiling of one new exciting product apart from the SVJ and during the year we will also have the SVJ 63 coming to India.”
The limited edition Lamborghini Aventador SVJ 63 made its global debut at the 2018 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance to pay homage to Lamborghini's founding year of 1963. This special car is developed in a unique configuration with bespoke colour and trim along with extensive use of carbon fibre.
Powering the limited edition SVJ is the Lamborghini's most powerful series production V12 that churns out a maximum power output of 770bhp at 8,500rpm and a peak torque of 720Nm at 6,750rpm. The Aventador SVJ accelerates to 100kmph from standstill in mere 2.8 seconds and 0 to 200kmph in just 8.6 seconds. The SUV can hit a top speed of over 350kmph. The company will only produce 63 units of the Aventador SVJ limited edition and 900 units of the SVJ 63.
The SVJ comes equipped with four-wheel steering. This model is developed upon the standard car's agility with a second-generation active aerodynamics system (ALA 2.0). It comes with redesigned air dams and aerodynamic channel design. It is claimed to have 40 percent greater downforce than that of the Aventador SV, which is the brand's former performance flagship model. The chassis has also been tweaked to offer 50 percent additional stiffness.
