General Motors India Ltd. have introduced two Limited Edition models of its flagship Sail siblings. The Limited Edition model of the larger Said sedan has been priced at Rs 5.36 lakh, while the Sail U-VA hatchback has been priced at Rs 4.47 lakh (Both prices are ex-showroom, Thane). Both the Limited Edition models have received some styling and feature updates. However, the mechanical bits remain untouched.
In the case of Chevrolet Sail sedan, the Limited Edition model is sporting some new features such as rear parking sensors, integrated turn signals on wing mirrors, illuminated sill plates, body graphics and decals, Limited Edition tagged seat covers and pillows and a chrome garnish for the boot lid. The Chevrolet Sail U-VA on the other hand, has received all the goodies that the Sail sedan is featuring, except for rear parking sensors. Additionally, the Sail U-VA gets a new set of roof rails.
The powertrains in the Limited Edition models remain unchanged. Both the Chevrolet Sail sedan and the Sail U-VA will continue to be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol unit and a 1.3-litre diesel unit producing 86PS/113Nm and 78PS/205Nm respectively. Both engines come mated to a 5-Speed manual transmission. The ARAI claimed fuel efficiency is rated at 22.1 km/l in case of the diesel engined variants and 18.2 km/l for the petrol variants.
