The limited edition Desert Strom Despatch models went on sale yesterday morning at 10 am, according to the reports from Chennai based two-wheeler manufacturer, 200 units of the limited edition Despatch motorcycle were sold out immediately as soon as the motorcycles went on sale. These limited edition models were on sale only through the official webpage of Royal Enfield, Royalenfield.com. The interesting part about these motorcycles is that none of them have exact same paint design and it is because of the technique called Hydrographic Print Transfer.

These motorcycles are hand painted by using the technique which gives a unique signature camouflage pattern on each of the individual machines. The beautiful leather buckle supporting the air-box reminds of the old times retro motorcycles. These motorcycles were limited to 200 units for India and were priced at INR 2.05lakh (Ex-Showroom, Mumbai). Internationally the limited edition Despatch models are available in all three colors Desert Storm, Squadron Blue and the battle green paint scheme.  Indian Armed forces uses the similar battle green color and this is the reason why Battle Green is not available for Indian market. We congratulate the lucky people who managed to book these limited edition Classic 500s. The rate at which these motorcycles were sold out is an indication how famous retro classic’s are in the country.
