Mahindra and Mahindra has launched a Special Edition variant of its best-selling product- Bolero. Based on the top-end trim Bolero ZLX, the production of this Special Edition is limited to just 500 units.
The Limited Edition comes with a new music system with USB and Bluetooth connectivity, leather seats, new body decals, blue vision headlamps and will be available only in pearl white color. For the first time, Mahindra has equipped the Bolero with anti-lock braking system (ABS).
Mechanically, the Mahindra Bolero 'Special Edition' is identical to the standard models. Powered by a 2.5-litre m2DiCR diesel mill, the engine churns out 63PS of power @ 3,200 rpm and 195Nm of torque between1,400 rpm and 2,200 rpm. The engine is mated to a five speed manual gearbox.
The price of Mahindra Bolero starts from INR 6.21 lakhs and ranges upto INR 7.53 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), while the BS3 models retail between INR 5.93 lakh to INR 7.38 lakhs (ex-showroom). Although, the company has not declared the price of this special version, but it is likely to be priced around INR 50,000 above the BS4 to-of-the-line ZLX trim which costs INR 7.53 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
