Mahindra charts out discount schemes for bank employees

Snapshot: Under the scheme, bank employes will be offered with a discount of Rs 25,000 on all new purchases.

Indian auto major Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd has charted out some special discount schemes, excessively for bank employees of India. Under the special offer, all bank employees would be offered with a discount of up to Rs 25,000 on purchase of a new passenger vehicle. The offer is valid until the end of August 2014. 

Commenting on the new offer scheme, Mahindra & Mahindra chief sales & customer care officer, Automotive Division, Arun Malhotra said that it is a way of acknowledging support and contributions made by bankers and providing a further fillip to the company’s relationship with them going forward. “Financiers are in integral part of the automotive business model since a majority of vehicle purchases are finance based in India.” Malhotra added.

In the month of June 2014, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd clocked total sales of 38,471 units as against 38,092 units in the corresponding period last month. In the domestic market alone, the company saw a marginal rise in sales at 36,457 units in June 2014. The company had sold a total of 36,207 units in the domestic market in June 2013.
