Home grown automajor, Mahindra has begun testing a four-door Mahindra e2o test mule, where the model was spotted doing some test round near Reva’s facility in Bangalore. The four-door e20 featured a heavy camouflaged wraparound. The production-spec model is expected to arrive in showrooms by the end of this year or in 2017.
Reportedly, Mahindra Reva is working over on an electric SUV that has been codenamed as ‘S107’, and being the an all electric model it will be the next offering by the company after the e-Verito. This could be a hint for testing the chassis base and components for the next Electric SUV.
Being a a 4-door Mahindra e2o, it is expected to be offered with an updated-futuristic styling with some sharp cutting edge design compared to existing e2o. The Mahindra e2o 4-door will get an extended length, while inside, it will incorporate most of the features from its sibling such as music system, power steering, reverse camera and electric ORVMs.
Coming to the powertrain, the new model will get a more powerful electric unit, while the current e20 is using a 19 kW battery. The bigger battery will help to gain more range and top speed of the vehicle and it could also be offered with Mahindra’s Quick2Charge technology in the top-end version.
