Mahindra eVerito Launched at Rs. 9.50 Lakhs

Snapshot: The electric sedan can be charged at home in 8 hours and 45 minutes, while with fast charging mode, it can be charged in just 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Mahindra & Mahindra, the home-grown automaker, has launched the eVerito sedan at an introductory price of Rs. 9.50 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi, post state subsidy and FAME incentive) in the country. Being developed by Mahindra Electric - the electric mobility division of Mahindra Group - the all-electric zero-emissions sedan would be available in key markets initially such as New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Jaipur and Nagpur.

Mahindra eVerito is offered in three trims: D2, D4, and D6. The electric sedan can be charged at home in 8 hours and 45 minutes, while a fast charging mode is also available, via which it can be charged in just 1 hour and 45 minutes. Once fully charged, the eVerito can cover a distance of 110 kms (based on vehicle loading) with top speed of 86kmph. The running cost of the electric sedan is said to be Rs. 1.15/km. Just so you know, the eVerito also comes with a boost mode for extra power. Considering the cost of electricity Rs. 7 per unit, 18 units are required to fully charge the sedan. The sedan is powered by a 72V Lithium-ion battery which is maintenance free.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Pravin Shah, President and Chief (Automotive), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, said, "As the pioneer of electric vehicles and integrated mobility solutions in India, it has always been our endeavor to make electric vehicles more accessible and the eVerito is the first electic sedan in our portfolio. With issues like environmental degradation, pollution-related challenges, climate change and energy security, there has never been a better time to switch to electric vehicles." Just to add to your knowledge, Mahindra eVerito comes with a 'Revive' feature, which can be activated to gain an extra 8 kms of range, when the car is low on energy, to reach home or nearest charging station. The sedan also gets features like Hill hold, Regenerative Braking, Telematics, and Intelligent Energy Management System.
