Mahindra & Mahindra has started the teasing game ahead of the 2020 Auto Expo which starts from February 5 in Greater Noida. The company has released a teaser image of two of its electric products - eXUV300 and eKUV100 - which are going to debut at the biennial event. Both the KUV100 EV and XUV300 EV will be presented in production-ready and concept forms, respectively. The official launches of Mahindra eKUV100 and Mahindra eXUV300 are scheduled by late 2020 and late 2021, respectively.
The teaser image has the all-electric XUV300 on the left side and the all-electric KUV100 on the right side. Being codenamed as Mahindra S210, the eXUV300 will be offered in a couple of variants. It will have a small battery pack and a big battery pack. The latter will be used for inter-city travels as it will come with a driving range of around 350-400 km after being fully charged. It is being learnt that even the variant with smaller battery pack will have a driving range of 200 kilometres on a full charge. Mahindra eXUV300 will have a power output of 120 bhp and will take on the recently launched Tata Nexon EV.
Speaking of the eKUV100, it will be showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo in its production-spec avatar. It is expected to be priced around Rs 9 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom). Mahindra eKUV100 made its first public appearance at the 2018 Auto Expo, a couple of years back, with a Lithium-ion battery which delivered 40bhp of top power to the electric motor. It had a range of 140kms while it was also fast charging compatible with 80 percent charge from standstill in merely one hour.
