As the financial year got off to a fresh start, Mahindra Group has appointed Ruzbeh Irani as chief Group communications and ethics officer from 1st April 2014. Ruzbeh joined the Mahindra Group in 2007 as Executive Vice President – Corporate Strategy and became the member of Mahindra Group executive board in 2010. His excellence in communication strategy and impeccable planning and leading skills made the Mahindra Group select him among its top-most administration positions.

Commenting on the appointment, Anand Mahindra, Chairman, Mahindra Group, said: “Communication plays a vital role in building the Mahindra brand on the global stage, and in strengthening our internal culture. It is especially crucial, given the Mahindra Group’s aspiration of joining the ranks of the Top 50 most admired global brands by 2021.”

With the new position, the major responsibilities of Ruzbeh includes the development and strengthening of the communications strategy of all Mahindra Group businesses- agriculture equipments, utility vehicles, information technology, energy, financial services, logistics, real estate, retail, steel – all on a global scale.

In addition, as the Chief Ethics Officer of the Group, he is also responsible for infusing and maintaining the highest standards of ethics and corporate governance across Mahindra. Ruzbeh completed his bachelors’ degree in Commerce from Bombay University, followed by the Masters in Management Studies from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai.
