We had recently reported that Mahindra Two Wheelers is planning to launch their second in house developed scooter, the Mahindra Gusto 125 soon and today it has been unveiled in the Indian market, however the launch will occur at the 2016 AutoExpo only.
The bored out engine from the Gusto's 110 M-TEC unit the engine on the Gusto 125 is now 125cc and produces a power output of 8.6bhp and a peak torque rating of 10Nm. The scooter features a load-sensing multi-curve ignition that is designed to provide you the best possible torque in every situation. Also, to develop the 125cc scooter, Mahindra two wheelers did the customer surveys alongwith a team from Peugeot scooters in order to understand the needs better and to produce a scooter that gels well to the customer requirement.
During the launch Mr. Vinod Sahay, COO, Mahindra Two Wheelers talked about Gusto being the country's fastest growing scooter brand and unveiled the Gusto 125 is two shades, however, a total of four colours will be available for the customers to chose from. The engine on the Gusto 125 also features, Offset crank, heavy duty clutch, larger carburettor, low friction piston rings & high energy ignition coil alongwith the aforementioned , load sensing multi curve ignition.
On the feature listing side, the Gusto brand stays feature rich with the newly launched Gusto 125 getting features such as seat height adjustment, tubeless tyres, 12″ front tyre, telescopic-forks, etc.
