Mahindra launched a new variant of the entry-level SUV KUV100, the KUV100 Trip, which comes with a bi-fuel (petrol & CNG) and diesel engine options. The Petrol with CNG variant gets a price tag of Rs 5.16 lakh and the diesel variant has been priced at Rs 5.42 lakh (All Prices, Ex Showroom, Delhi).
Speaking on the introduction of the new variant – KUV100 TRIP, Veejay Ram Nakra, chief of sales and marketing, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, With its flexi 6 seater option, spacious interiors, low operating cost, attractive price and high earning potential, the KUV100 TRIP is set to be a popular choice with fleet owners as well as aggregators in the object of mobility space.”
In terms of exterior, the KUV100 Trip variant is similar to the pre-facelift version of the compact SUV and measures 3,675 mm in length, 1,705 mm in width and 1,635 mm in height, rides on a wheelbase of 2,385 mm with a ground clearance of 170 mm. The vehicle will be available in two exterior colour options - Diamond White and Dazzling Silver. The new variant comes with a dual-tone front bumper, sweptback headlights and black ORVM housings and door handles. While on the inside, the KUV100 Trip just gets a 6-seater configuration.
Mechanically, the Mahindra KUV100 Trip variant is offered in two engine options - a bi-fuel (Petrol with CNG) version is powered by a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that makes 82bhp and 115 Nm of peak torque, while the diesel version is offered with a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder oil burner, which belts out 77bhp of maximum power with 190 Nm of top torque. Both the powertrains are mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Mahindra is also offering attractive finance schemes, special accessory packages and an extended 5 year warranty.
