Mahindra’s working horse now gets more power from a mHawk D70 engine that now pushes out 70bhp of maximum power and 195Nm of peak torque. Power figure is up by 13% than the previous version and fuel efficiency too is 5% higher. Power+ will be offered with a 3 year or 1 lakh km (whichever is earlier) warranty. The 7 seat SUV is claimed to have better cushioning on all seats for more comfort. The company also states Power+ has better manoeuvrability hinting at work done towards making the steering softer and some tinkering on the suspension system. The new Bolero Power+ is priced at Rs 6.59lakh (ex showroom Mumbai).
Design remains the same as a butch functional SUV and it comes with features like a digital instrument cluster, Driver Information System (DIS) and voice messaging system. It also has Micro Hybrid technology on ZLX which basically is supposed to save a bit of fuel. This gimmick switches the engine into standby mode when not required which means lower fuel consumption and lesser emission too. For theft security it has an engine immobilizer which shuts down the engine if any key other than your key is used.
“The all New Bolero Power+ is an endeavour to enhance the product value proposition of an already successful product. We have introduced the New Bolero Power+ with the mHawk D70 engine to deliver more power, more fuel efficiency and a peppier drive. I am sure that the New Bolero Power+, with its overall better value proposition, will heighten its appeal not only amongst its core customers but also excite more buyers”, states Pravin Shah, President & Chief Executive (Automotive), Mahindra & Mahindra ltd.
