Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has finally launched the Marazzo MPV at an introductory price of Rs 9.99 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, India) in the country. Being available in both 7-seater and 8-seater configuration, it will be available in four variants: M2, M4, M6 and M8. Mahindra Marazzo comes with disc brakes on all wheels, dual front airbags, ABS, side impact protection and isofix as standard. The company will introduce the petrol and automatic variants with BS VI emission norms rollout in 2020 in the Indian market.

The MPV will be available in six colors: Mariner Maroon, Shimmering Silver, Aqua Marine, Oceanic Black, Iceberg White and Poseidon Purple. Being designed by Pininfarina, it gets multiple storage spaces and an aircraft-inspired parking brake lever. Mahindra Marazzo comes with dual-tone interior cabin and several upmarket features such as Cruise Control, 'Techy Purple' instrument cluster, Digisense, eight-way adjustable driver's seat, a one-touch tumble down middle row seat with a 60:40 folding arrangement, sunshade for second row occupants, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Haptic Feedback and Capsense Technology etc. to name a few. Sadly, Apple CarPlay is not available with the MPV. Base and mid-variants have 1.2GB internal memory, while the top-end variant has 8GB as standard.
The range-topping M8 variant rides on 215/60R17 tyres and 2 individual captain's seats for the second row. Mechanically, it is powered by a new 1.5L 4-cylinder diesel engine which churns out top power of 121bhp and peak torque of 300Nm. The power is transmitted to the front wheels enroute a 6-speed manual transmission. Mahindra Marazzo also features Ecosense mode where the engine would deliver 100bhp instead of 121bhp to enable better fuel efficiency. The MPV also gets a first-in-class emergency call features which automatically makes call to the authorities and sms to friends/family if airbags are deployed in an accident. Mahindra Marazzo will be offered with a standard 3 year/100,000kms warranty which can be extended. Prices for the 8-seater variants will be sold at a premium of Rs 5,000 over the prices announced for the 7-seater versions.
