Mahindra is readying for the next big launch of its upcoming MPV, Marrazo which will be based on all new underpinnings. Mahindra has been teasing the MPV and has recently revealed its headlamp assembly in a new image. Going by the image, the Mahindra Marrazo features a stylish twin chamber projector headlamp with integrated LED daytime running lights. According to Mahindra, Marrazo sports a shark inspired design on the outside with styling elements inspired by apex predator of the ocean both on the outside as well as inside.
The company so far has only released teaser images of the MPV, giving an inkling of the exterior design including elements such as chrome toothed front grille, a shark-fin antenna and large LED tail-lamps that seem to be inspired by a shark’s tail. That said, Mahindra is yet to fully reveal the MPV. Coming to the mechanicals, the Mahindra Marrazo MPV will only get a 1.5-litre oil burner with choice between a standard manual and an optional automatic gearbox that is likely to be borrowed from Mahindra’s flagship XUV500 SUV. The company is also working on a petrol version which could be introduced at a later stage depending on demand.
As for the interior, it has already been revealed completely. The interior will be enveloped in a dual tone colour scheme. Featuring a seven-seat layout, the MPV will equip captain seat in the middle row, whereas the 8-seater model will get a foldable bench seat with 40:20:40 split feature. In addition to the above mentioned features, there will be a touchscreen infotainment system, a dual-tone instrument console with a large MID unit and a roof mounted air-con system with Mahindra’s industry-first surround cool technology. Set for launch in September, more details including the price list, will be revealed at the official event.
