The company so far has only released teaser images of the MPV, giving an inkling of the exterior design including elements such as chrome toothed front grille, a shark-fin antenna and large LED tail-lamps that seem to be inspired by a shark’s tail. That said, Mahindra is yet to fully reveal the MPV. Coming to the mechanicals, the Mahindra Marrazo MPV will only get a 1.5-litre oil burner with choice between a standard manual and an optional automatic gearbox that is likely to be borrowed from Mahindra’s flagship XUV500 SUV. The company is also working on a petrol version which could be introduced at a later stage depending on demand.
As for the interior, it has already been revealed completely. The interior will be enveloped in a dual tone colour scheme. Featuring a seven-seat layout, the MPV will equip captain seat in the middle row, whereas the 8-seater model will get a foldable bench seat with 40:20:40 split feature. In addition to the above mentioned features, there will be a touchscreen infotainment system, a dual-tone instrument console with a large MID unit and a roof mounted air-con system with Mahindra’s industry-first surround cool technology. Set for launch in September, more details including the price list, will be revealed at the official event.
