Mahindra has finally launched the Mojo UT300 in India at a price tag of Rs. 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The bike comes as a cheaper variant of the Mojo adventure tourer and UT in the nomenclature stands for universal tourer. To draw attention of the buyers, Mahindra is also offering a flat Rs. 10,000 discount on on-road price of the bike. However, this offer is available for the customers who purchase the model by 31st March, 2018.
Mahindra is also offering accessories worth of Rs. 4,000 free of cost to the existing Mojo owners, who refer the bike to any new customer. Being a cheaper variant of the Mahindra Mojo XT300, the all-new Mojo UT300 lacks couple of elements like the LED daytime running lights and Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres. The Mojo UT300 comes with black alloy wheels wrapped with MRF tyres. It doesn’t get the USD front forks like the Mojo XT300. For braking duty, the bike relies on 320 mm front disc brake and 245 rear disc brake.
Instead of dual aluminium exhausts that are available in the Mojo XT300, the Mojo UT300 gets a single unit located at the left side of the bike. The basic silhouette of the Mojo UT300 remains same as the Mojo XT300. Changes have been made to the powertrain of the new bike. Compared to the XT300’s EFI technology, the Mojo UT300 gets carburetor in order to keep pricing lower.
The Mahindra MOjo UT300 is powered by the same 295 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine coupled with a 6-speed transmission. The engine is capable of churning out around 25 bhp of peak power and 28 Nm of peak torque. Also, expect generous fuel efficiency to be offered by the bike. With the aggressive price tag, this bike is expected to throw tough challenge to the Bajaj Dominar 400.
