The all new Mahindra MPV (Mahindra U321) will be launched in India in the later half of 2017. The launch of this vehicle will mark an end to Mahindra’s famous Xylo which has been in the market for 7 years now and will complete its eighth year in January 2017.
Though not much has been disclosed about the vehicle, from the spyshots it seems that it will have a sleek profile along with three rows. The design element takes forward Mahindra’s legacy and features a toothy grille, strong shoulder line, tall tail lamps and slight chrome trimming. Though no such details have been known about the design element as far as its interiors are concerned, the vehicle has a short bonnet which should automatically make it much more spacious.
It is being developed by Mahindra’s North American Technical Centre (MNATC) located in Michigan along with Mahindra Research Valley situated somewhere near Chennai.
According to the reports The Mahindra U321 will most probably run on a 1.99-litre mHawk diesel engine whereas a larger petrol engine belonging to the mFalcon’ family might power the petrol variant of this model.
After its launch, the brand new Mahindra vehicle will be competing against the all new Toyota Innova Crysta which has performed spectacularly in the utility vehicle sector. It has also managed to beat the sales of popular cars like the Hyundai Creta and the Maruti Vitara Brezza keeping in mind that it is banned from the market as large as that of Delhi.
