Among the host of newly launched cars and upgrades, Mahindra & Mahindra has confirmed that it will be launching the facelifted version of the Scorpio on November 14, 2017. This legendary SUV will be getting some significant aesthetic changes along with a good increase in the power production in its present 2.2-litre mHawk engine.

The new generation of the Mahindra Scorpio will be getting a revised front fascia that will include a new toothed grille design and round fog lamps. The wheels are held on 5-spoke alloy wheels and the tail lights are covered with red tinted glass. On the inside of this facelifted car, there are subtle changes to be seen like a new seat upholstery and a new colour tone. However, the addition of a 7-inch touchscreen unit may also be added but not as of now.

But the biggest upgrade comes on the mechanical front as the Mahindra Scorpio will be seen in a more powerful avatar. The 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine that presently makes 120 bhp of power will be making 140 bhp along with an increased torque of 330 Nm. This figure is the same as what we get in the XUV500. Moreover, it is also confirmed that the SUV will get a new variant in the form of S7.

Given the fact that the Mahindra will be making a good number of changes on the physical front along with a more powerful engine, the price may go up but only to a marginal extent. Presently, Mahindra Scorpio is retailed at a starting price of Rs. 9.9 lakhs, while the 2.2-litre S8 trim has a tag of Rs. 13.69 lakhs. Hence, the new S7 trim should be priced anywhere around Rs. 13 lakhs.
