Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), the home-grown automaker, has launched the S9 variant of Scorpio SUV at a sticker price of Rs 13.99 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) in the country. It will be available pan India across Mahindra dealerships with immediate effect. Mahindra Scorpio S9 variant gets several premium features while being powered by the same mHAWK diesel engine.

Speaking on the introduction of the S9 variant of the Scorpio, Veejay Ram Nakra, Chief of Sales and Marketing - Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, “Scorpio changed the landscape of the Indian Auto Industry & continues to be a dominant force in the SUV segment. The new Scorpio S9 offers a great feature package at an attractive price point making it a compelling buy for customers looking for a true-blue SUV, while retaining Scorpio’s core DNA of Power, Driving Thrill & Adventure.” Speaking of the features, the Scorpio S9 variant comes with Fully Automatic Temperature Control (FATC), 15-cm touchscreen infotainment with GPS navigation in 10 languages with voice assist system, Static-bending Projector Headlamps, LED Light Guides, ORVMs with Side-turn Indicators and Audio & Cruise Controls on Steering.

Mahindra Scorpio S9 also boasts of 'Intellipark' feature as standard while Cushion suspension & anti-roll technologies also make its way in the new variant. Under the hood, there is the mHAWK turbocharged diesel engine with Micro-Hybrid Technology which delivers top power of 140bhp and 320Nm of peak torque. It is linked to a 6-speed transmission. As for the safety of the occupants and the vehicle itself, it is equipped with an array of features such as Dual Front Airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Front Fog Lamps, Anti-Theft Warning, Panic Brake Indication and Engine Immobiliser. Hydraulic Assisted Bonnet is also offered as a part of standard fitment in the SUV.
