Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd., has unveiled its wide range of products at the Auto Expo 2014. The products include 'Accessible Technology' ranging from SUV and future ready electric mobility solutions to its commercial vehicle portfolio and the new motorcycle range.
The accessible technology will include a cross section of an XUV500 Hybrid with a transparent acrylic body to showcase the hybrid Technology capability of Mahindra, as well as the all new autoshift transmission in the Quanto.
The XUV 500 Hybrid offers peppy drivability, lower emissions, lower fuel consumption and green technology. It uses various state-of-the-art technologies like Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors & Lithium ion battery to supplement fossil fuel energy for vehicle propulsion. The motor assist the engine at low engine speed and while accelerate and it also uses regeneration braking to generate electricity while braking.
The Quanto come equipped with autoshift transmission and yoga seats. Apart from this, the other vehicles ion display were a Special Edition Scorpio, the tough and rugged Bolero Stinger which has been specially customized by Mahindra for automotive enthusiasts. Rounding up the display at the Live Young Live Free Zone will be special matte finish XUV500 and Xylo H Series.
The SsangYong range of vehicles highlights world class technology through the all new Rodius MPV, LIV-1 Concept and Rexton with the new 2.0-litre e_XDi engine. The new Rodius evokes the strong and dynamic appearance of an SUV, and with its large exterior volume is ideal for multiple roles. It is equipped with 2.0-litre turbo charged e_XDi200 diesel engine offering a level of performance and NVH that have been tested, proven and praised in the marketplace. The e-XDi200 offers maximum power of 155PS at 3400-4000rpm and a peak torque of 360Nm at 1500-2800rpm.
Mahindra Reva highlights future ready mobility solution with the next generation electric sports car, fast charging technologies for the e2o and the electric Verito and Maxximo. The next generation fast charging technologies include 'Quick3Charge' through which the e2o can be charged completely in 60 minutes.
Next was the Mahindra Formula e Car, which will participate in this year's FIA sponsored Formula E Championship. The Mahindra Group hopes to integrate its advanced operations and expertise in electronics, IT, automotive technologies and manufacturing into global electric vehicle growth story.
