The homegrown SUV manufacturer, Mahindra and Mahindra have teased a design sketch of its Mahindra XUV Aero Coupe-SUV concept. The XUV Aero Coupe-SUV concept is based on the company’s popular premium SUV - XUV500, and it is likely to be showcased at the Auto Expo 2016. Mahindra also plans to set up a design studio at its stall to give visitors a backstage look of what went behind the design of the XUV Aero concept.
We have noticed that Mahindra is focusing designing aspect of vehicle production. And the brand claims that it is their attention to design that has out-turned in success of many its products on slot. In fact, such thinking of the company has led them to acquire one of the world's best design houses ‘Pininfarina’. Though, Mahindra officially owns Pininfarina, but reportedly, the XUV Aero concept has been completely designed by Mahindra's Indian designers here in their design studio in Mumbai.
In the teaser image, it is clear that the profile has been inspired from XUV500 giving it a beefy front end with muscular crease, flared wheel arches and raised shoulder line. Looking at the sloping roofline, stubby tail and angular C-Pillar, which simply appreciates roots of a coupe. Currently, the Coupe-SUV segment is offered in high-end luxury cars like BMW X6 and the recently launched Mercedes GLE Coupe.
With the new XUV Aero Concept, Mahindra plans to emphasize its stylish coupe-like SUV for the mass market, and such an attempt is just irresistible.
