Mahindra has launched the Wanderlust customisation kit for Thar SUV in India at a price tag of Rs 13.80 lakh. This customisation kit gives the Mahindra Thar a more rugged and off-road focused look that was previewed by the homegrown auto manufacturer at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo through the Mahindra Thar Wanderlust. Now, the customisation kit will offer the customers a chance to modify the SUV according to their own preference.

The Wanderlust customization kit for Mahindra Thar includes LED projector headlamps, a matte electric blue paint scheme, gull-wing rear door, silver roof-rails, power assisted sunroof, high mounted taillights inspired by the Mahindra Scorpio. Interestingly, the Mahindra Thar has been subject to various modifications by the automaker. At the 2016 Delhi Auto expo, the brand showcased Mahindra Thar Daybreak edition that was even more aggressive version of the SUV. However, the Wanderlust comes with more civilized appearance. Like exterior, the Mahindra Thar Wanderlust looks appealing inside the cabin as well. It gets dual-tone colour scheme, leather upholstery, custom carpeting, sporty pedals, new touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, mood lighting, head-up display etc.

Power source for the Mahindra Thar Wanderlust is a 2.5-litre CRDe diesel engine coupled with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The engine is capable of churning out 105 bhp of peak power at 3,800 rpm and 247 Nm of peak torque between 1,800 rpm and 2,800 rpm. The fuel efficiency of the car is expected to be different compared to the regular model.
