After taking over British brand BSA, the automaker automaker announced that,moved its focus of its bike business towards premium niche market and will enter and will enter fresher and beforehand untouched domains with its recently obtained brands like BSA and JAWA.
The Classic Legend Pvt. Ltd, a subsidiary of home grown Mahindra and Mahindra recently acquired 100% the share capital of British two wheeler brand BSA Company Limited.This takeover has empowered Mahindra to procure the majority of the BSA licenses for showcasing and marketing the brand's items under the BSA nameplate.
This has opened a universe of chance for re-launching and re-building up the exemplary British bike marque as a 'new' global motorcycle brand. The air was cleared that the BSA brand won't be either made in India or will be propelled in India and the organization might consider launching as such just later.
According to Mahindra 2 wheelers, it will launch new models which will catch the character, DNA and ethos of these brands and that it will create items that are in a state of harmony with the DNA of the BSA and Jawa brands. According to reports, Mahindra is planning to introduce the first motorcycle two years from now, it will showcase showcase it at the Auto Expo 2018.
According to a statement Classic Legend Pvt. Ltd will work with Mahindra Racing’s technical development centre in Italy to design and develop these products. When launched in the market, they won't highlight any "Mahindra" marking, and they will even be sold through a different separate dealer networks. These classic bikes will be manufactured at Mahindra’s factory in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh, which produces the flag bearer product for Mahindra Two Wheelers Limited, the Mahindra Mojo.
