Mahindra has finally announced the pricing of the much awaited TUV300 Plus in India at a price of Rs 9.69 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). What’s interesting about this SUV is that it has been unofficially on sale in several states across the country for more than six months, but the homegrown auto manufacturer didn’t officially reveal the pricing previously.
The Mahindra TUV300 Plus comes carrying the same design as the Mahindra TUV300, but it visibly appears longer than the rugged looking compact SUV which took inspiration from battle tank. Despite the identical styling, the Mahindra TUV300 Plus comes sporting some distinctive design elements at the rear profile. It will be available in four different exterior colour options.
In terms of dimension, the Mahindra TUV300 Plus SUV measures 4,400 mm in length that makes it 401 mm longer than the regular TUV300. Also, the Mahindra TUV300 Plus is 1,835 mm wide and 1,812 mm tall, which are same as the TUV300. It has the same wheelbase of 2,680 mm as the TUV300. Inside the cabin, the TUV300 Plus gets an all-black theme. The nine-seater layout certainly adds appeal and it gets vinyl upholstery, tilt-adjustable power steering, dual 12V charging sockets. On the safety front it boasts engine immobilizer, child locks, side impact beams etc.
The long wheelbase version of the Mahindra TUV300 comes powered by a 2.2-litre mHawk120 diesel engine coupled with a 6-speed manual gearbox, while the standard model gets a 5-speed manual gearbox. Also, the Mahindra TUV300 Plus gets a micro-hybrid technology saving precious fuel. The engine kicks out 118 bhp of peak power and 280 Nm of peak torque. This 2,410 kg weighing SUV runs on 215/70R16 tyres wrapped around the steel wheels. It has a fuel tank of 60-litre capacity that ensures a long range without refueling.
