Mahindra & Mahindra, the home-grown automajor, has started teasing its upcoming SUV - the TUV3OO - ahead of its official launch on September 10, 2015 in the country. After releasing a teaser image of the front wing a few days back, the company has now teased the steering wheel and instrument cluster of the TUV 3OO in form of an image. After the unsuccessful Quanto, it is Mahindra's second attempt in the sub 4-meter SUV domain, where Ford EcoSport is raking in awesome numbers since its launch.
Talking about the teased steering wheel, it features silver garnish at the lower spokes. It also boasts of audio and bluetooth telephony controls mounted over it. As for instrument cluster, it gets chrome bezels with a speedometer and tachometer. Also, almost all of the warning lights are placed at the upper side between the two dials. Upon observing closely the image, one can see that the electric mirror adjustment is positioned beneath the driver side's A/C vents, which also has silver bezels. Moving on the exterior image of the front wing, it gives a sneak-peak into the Mahindra TUV3OO's styling, which is said to be based on a battle tank.
Being based on an all-new platform, Mahindra TUV3OO has been designed and developed in-house by the Mahindra design team. The research and development of Mahindra TUV300 has been carried out at the world class Mahindra Research Valley (MRV) in Chennai. Mechanically, the TUV3OO would be powered by a new mHawk 80 diesel motor, which is said to be the down-graded version of Quanto's 1.5L diesel engine. The new engine would be paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard, while an AMT unit could be available as optional. The TUV3OO is expected to be priced in a bracket of Rs. 6.5–9 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom). Just so you know, after the TUV3OO, Mahindra would launch yet another all-new SUV, which is codenamed as S101.
